Bucklesweet has announced its client performance lineup for March and April 2022.

With events scheduled in Washington, DC, New York, Florida, Minnesota, Wisconsin and Los Angeles, audiences across the United States will enjoy live performances in a range of genres and styles.

Washington DC, Maryland and Virginia

The Gay Men’s Chorus of Washington DC will perform “New day,” a look at family, love and acceptance. The program, inspired by the lyrics of “The Human Heart” featured in the one-act musical “Once on This Island”, celebrates our commonalities with songs from “The Wiz”, “Chess”, “Dear Evan Hansen” and others. , as well as songs sung in Spanish and Korean.

Performance date: March 12, 2022, at 3 p.m. and 8 p.m. at the Lincoln Theater in Washington DC

Bass-baritone Davóne Tines, accompanied by pianist Lester Green, performs a recital program based on the Ordinium of the Roman Catholic Mass. Tines and Green juxtapose the music of Bach with that of contemporary composers and drawn from the traditions of art song, spirituals and gospel music.

The life and work of Dr. Martin Luther King will be honored as the choirs of Washington Performing Arts and Choral Arts come together to perform”Live the dream… Sing the dream”, a musical tribute to the great civil rights activist who celebrates the human spirit. The concert is co-presented with the Choral Arts Society of Washington.

The Gay Men’s Chorus of Washington DC is set to perform GenOUT “Invasion of Youth.C. Paul Hines will conduct the annual GenOUT Youth Chorus concert, “Youth Invasion.” Mosaic Harmony, a Virginia-based choir, will make a special appearance.

Beloved mezzo-soprano Joyce DiDonato brings Washington Performing Arts her passion project, “Eden.to the public in Washington DC. The theatrical and musical experience delves into what makes us human and the magnificence of nature. DiDonato includes works by Handel, Ives, Gluck, Mahler and others, and will share the stage with il Pomo d’Oro, a 20-member chamber orchestra known for its historic performances.

New York

Baroque and classical specialists, Four Nations Ensemble, will present “Pleasure Garden Music.” The program focuses on music that might have been heard in London’s pleasure gardens in the 18th century. The show is part of the Aspect Chamber Music series.

The evening’s program includes music by Bach, Handel, Haydn, Chilcot and Battishill. Caltech Emeritus Professor of Literature and History, John Brewer, will lecture on pleasure gardens and their importance in early modern England. The singers scheduled to perform are soprano Pascale Beaudin and tenor Thomas Cooley.

Choral Arts Initiative will celebrate both the world premiere and album release of Jeffrey Derus’ concert work, “From the desert.” The composition delves into the power of wilderness to transform individuals and will feature Choral Arts Initiative, solo cello and crystal singing bowls.
