Fabio Luisi extends contract with the Danish National Symphony Orchestra

The Danish National Symphony Orchestra has announced that it will extend the contract of its conductor Fabio Luisi until 2026.
Luisi will conduct the Danish National Symphony Orchestra’s season opener on September 3, 2020 in a concert featuring soprano Elsa Dreisig and mezzo-soprano Elisabeth Kulman in a performance of Mahler’s Symphony No. 2.

Luisi is the general musical director of the Opernhaus Zürich and the musical director of the Dallas Symphony Orchestra. Previously, the Italian maestro held the positions of conductor of the Wiener Symphoniker and conductor of the Staatskapelle Dresden.
