Holiday music fans of all ages can experience the magic of the holiday season with the El Paso Symphony Orchestra Home for the holidays concerts this weekend.

Directed by Maestro Bohuslav Rattay, and joined by the Union chorale de UTEP, the program for December 3-4 at 7:30 p.m. at the Plaza Theater will include audience participation with several accompanying songs to include Handel’s “Hallelujah Chorus” from Messiah.

In addition, it will feature music from popular holiday family movies. Alone at home and the Polar Express. Special guests include Laura Tate Goldman performing Holiday favorites as Winter wonders and Rockin ‘around the Christmas tree and tenor Brian Downen will lend his voice to Oh holy night and The road home.

Laura Tate Goldman received international fame with her fifth album, Laura Tate: Live from El Paso which was filmed and recorded at the McKelligon Canyon Amphitheater in El Paso. The concert was a fundraiser for the Laura Tate Fund for the Arts of the El Paso Community Foundation, which provides arts education to underprivileged people.

The album held No. 1 on Root Music Reports for over six months and was named a winner of the Global Music Bronze Medal. Laura signed a recording contract with Nola Blue Records / Sony International and worked with her band and producer in Los Angeles on her sixth album due out in spring 2022.
