HYDE, the singer of the world famous groups L’Arc-en-Ciel and VAMPS has announced that he will a two-day live concert from the Heian Shrine in Kyoto, and it will be available to stream worldwide.

The concert is titled “20th Orchestra Concert 2021 HYDE HEIANJINGU” and commemorates his 20th anniversary as a solo artist. This concert offers a unique collaboration with an orchestra that will allow a sound that merges traditional Japanese music with modern music.

The event will run for two days, July 31 and August 1. It will be shown worldwide and screened in cinemas across Japan. Archive viewing will also be available, so fans can watch the concert from the comfort of their own time zone.

Recently, HYDE has been most active in his solo career, releasing not one but two digital singles in 2021, including the vampire anime ending theme “MARS RED”. HYDE digitally released their latest song “NOSTALGEN” on June 25, just as it kicked off the “20th Orchestra Tour HYDE ROENTGEN 2021” summer tour across Japan.

The Heian Shrine is over 100 years old and is listed as an Important Cultural Property of Japan. It’s rare for a modern concert to take place in a historic site like the shrine, but the fusion of modern and classical culture in Kyoto has become a trend.
