news, local news,

With the lockdown of Greater Sydney and NSW’s regional restrictions extended to at least four more weeks, the Australian Romantic & Classical Orchestra has been forced to cancel their Emerge tour. The concert tour led by Rachael Beesley was to feature some of the country’s brightest young talents from the Young Mannheim Symphonists (YMS) educational program, as well as “one of the world’s best bassoonists,” Jane Gower. It was to take place at the Orange Regional Conservatory next weekend, Saturday August 7. Also canceled by the worsening COVID crisis in the state, the Queen’s Tribute show starring Thomas Crane – considered the world’s best Freddie Mercury impersonator. One event that still continues is the Traveling Film Festival. It will be screened in Orange’s Odeon 5 theaters from August 20 to 23. The Sydney Film Festival regional tour will bring organized programming to the city for the first time. It was originally scheduled to operate during the weekends that Orange was on lockdown. Tickets can be purchased on the cinema’s website. Our reporters work hard to provide local and up-to-date news to the community. Here’s how you can continue to access our trusted content:
