Popular film music performed by the Saffron Walden Symphony Orchestra

The magic of cinema will be hosted by the Saffron Walden Symphony Orchestra (SWSO) during its concert at Saffron Hall on Saturday 5 February.
Popular blockbuster themes such as Harry Potter and IndianaJones will be among 80 years of movie soundtracks.
“Rather than just playing main themes, the orchestra will also play cues that enhance the on-screen action which, if written well, are not remembered as stand-alone elements but will be very enlightening to the audience. “said a spokesperson for SWSO.
“There is a particular focus on films from the 80s, 90s and 2000s. Stopping in space with music from star warsaccompanied by Batman and Shrek, the orchestra will take you through an exciting tour of familiar favorites, but also less familiar music from composers such as Ennio Morricone, Marco Beltrami, Don Davis and, of course, John Williams, winner of countless awards for his excellent sheet music. It promises to be a hellraiser one turn!”
The concert starts at 7:30 p.m. Adult tickets cost between £17 and £20 (£5 for under 25s) and are available from the Saffron Hall box office on 0845 548 7650 or can be purchased online at www.saffronhall.com.
SWSO is a community orchestra made up of professional and amateur musicians based in and around Saffron Walden, including North West Essex, Suffolk, Cambridge and East Herts.
