Shen Yun Symphony Orchestra Concert on Epoch TV

EpochTV will broadcast the Shen Yun Symphony Orchestra concert on its platform in the coming new year. The one-of-a-kind 90-minute performance will air on January 2, 2022 at 7 p.m. ET.
Shen Yun Performing Arts was founded in New York State in 2006 with a mission to bring 5,000 years of traditional Chinese culture to life through music and dance. Every year, Shen Yun produces a brand new show and tours with it around the world.
Shen Yun’s entirely original compositions present a perfect harmony of classical music from East and West. The Shen Yun Symphony Orchestra show includes solos from Erhu (a two-stringed Chinese instrument), Imperial-style marches and folk-inspired melodies, plus timeless orchestral classics by Tchaikovsky, Smetana and Gounod .
“The music they created is a great combination of traditional melodies,” said Dr. Richard Webb, organist, musicologist and professor at Southern University.
“Delicious,” said Per Brevig, conductor and professor at the Juilliard School. “They blend Chinese instruments with Western instruments so well.”
“Truly wonderful! I would be interested in playing some of this music or trying some myself,” said Charles Castleman, virtuoso violinist and teacher at the Eastman School of Music.
This online concert is free for EpochTV subscribers.
