The Detroit Symphony Orchestra will present Hollywood hits at the Somerset Collection on July 7
TROY, Mich. (WXYZ) — On July 7, the 70-piece Detroit Symphony Orchestra (DSO) will perform “Hooray for Hollywood” from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Somerset Collection North Grand Court in Troy.
The orchestra, led by Steven Jarvi, will perform some of Hollywood’s most popular songs from movies, including the West Side Story opener, the Magnificent Seven, the Jurassic Park theme song and Harry’s “Harry’s Wondrous World.” Potter at the Sorcerer’s Stone.

The July 7 performance will be the DSO’s second performance at the Somerset Collection following the orchestra’s first visit to the Somerset Collection in 2018. At the 2018 performance, the DSO performed the Star Wars score accompanied by a light show and a large Lego installation.
