Steuart Kellington, who conducts the Ribble Valley Choir and Orchestra, said: “I look forward to conducting the choir again each year as we prepare for the Joy to the World concert. Joy to the World has evolved over the past twelve years and is a popular event in the city, likely due to the variety of items we include.
“Traditional Christmas carols with audience participation are included as in a conventional Christmas carol service, but we also enjoy fun but relevant plays and remember birthdays and recent events. It’s the kind of event that appeals to a wide variety of musical tastes and content to kick off the Christmas season. For me, the concert announces the beginning of Christmas.
