“We will close our 13th season with an exciting and stunning program that showcases both incredible music – and the incredible talent of our musicians and youth orchestra musicians,” said Aaron Collins, conductor and director artistry of the Space Coast Symphony Orchestra.

“We have three amazing soloists and a world premiere from an amazing local composer.”

This program is a whirlwind tour of some of the greatest ballets in history, by great composers such as Tchaikovsky, Khachaturian, Ginastera, Stravinsky, Copland, and more.

The virtuoso first half of the concert features the centerpiece ‘Blue Bells of Scotland’, performed by SCSO principal trombonist Alexis Regazzi. A demanding showstopper from Pablo Sarasate, “Playera” won’t be a challenge for SCSO violinist Jose Guedez.

Continuing the orchestra’s commitment to new music, the concert will also feature the world premiere of heart-pounding Pangea Dances by Central Florida composer and musician Mark Piszczek. (SCSO picture)

Advanced students from the Space Coast Symphony Youth Orchestra join adult musicians on stage for the second ballet part of the program.

A special treat for the audience includes the first movement of Gershwin’s Piano Concerto in F by Dylan Rhodes, the overall winner of the orchestra’s youth concerto competition. Other amazing works include Appalachian Spring, Le Cid, Spartacus, Sleeping Beauty, Saber Dance and more.
