TORRINGTON — The Torrington Symphony Orchestra will perform “A Night Of Broadway Music,” in conjunction with Warner Theater’s Warner Stage Company, at 8 p.m. on May 7 at the Main Theater, conducted by conductor Maurice Steinberg.
The concert will feature music from “Annie”, “The Sound of Music”, “Guys and Dolls”, “Evita” and others. Performances by members of the Warner Stage Company include Alyssa Bunel, Roxie Quinn, Noel Roberge, Steffon Sampson, Kelly White and a children’s choir.
The Torrington Symphony Orchestra was founded in 1961 and has been an active part of the music community ever since, according to a statement.
The more than 45 amateur and professional musicians of the Torrington Symphony come from 25 cities in northwestern Connecticut, eastern New York and southern Massachusetts.
The symphony offers musicians the opportunity to express their artistic needs, while encouraging young performers to continue playing orchestral music.
