THE WARREN SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA KICKS OFF THE 49TH SEASON WITH A “MADE IN AMERICA” PATRIOTIC CONCERT ON NOV. 13, OFFERS FREE TICKETS TO MILITARY VETERANS

WARREN, Mich., October 24, 2022 /PRNewswire/ — The first of three performances this season by the Warren Symphony Orchestra (WSO) takes place on Sun 13 Nov at 3 p.m. at the Macomb Center for the Performing Arts located at 44575 Garfield Rd. in Clinton Township, Mich. “Made in America” is a collection of 11 compositions selected to honor and thank veterans and perform the music of American composers. The WSO launches its 49e season with this patriotic performance, even offering free admission to military veterans for its first concert of the year.
The WSOs 12 February concert, “Love Is in the Air”, will see the orchestra perform pieces composed for and about love and romance. The April 23 and the last concert of the season, “Out of this World”, offers interpretations of the repertoire associated with space, such as the famous “Star Wars” by John Williams.
Directed and hosted by Gina Provenzanothe WSO is the only fully professional symphony orchestra Macomb County which has been a cultural force in Southeast Michigan for more than four decades. “We are very happy to be able to perform these wonderful pieces for the community,” said Provenzano. “The themes for the three concerts this season are wonderful, and I think people are going to really enjoy it.”

Veterans interested in receiving a free ticket to the November 13 performances can skip the lines and call the box office in advance. In addition, the WSO continues to play an active role in educating young people by cultivating interest in classical music, even offering free tickets to students from kindergarten to 12 years old.e throughout the season to encourage music appreciation.
